Founded by two friends Oscar Phillips and Sheriff-Deen, Oscar Deen was born out of a desire to make unique eyewear with true heritage. Scouring warehouses, street markets and antique stores these two have been on a mission to source less celebrated shapes and finishes from yesteryear to reimagine them for modern day wear.
- Found: Barcelona, El Raval Barcelona, 2017. A things going wrong sort of trip. Wind up mates. Insufficient taxis. Tourist traps. 1st world problems really and not : waste of time. a dockside market we found: gem and on a corner we met a friendly local.
- Inspiration: Made in 1950s America, often standard army issue and considered butters in their time.
- Now: Bridge keyholed. Face broadened. Brow chamfered. Named after Nelson. Brazilian by birth. Barca local by choice. A tipster and all round gent.
All Oscar Deen frames are made from Mazzucchelli acetate. They're Italian and have been top of the game since 1849. While our lenses are made from organic plastic. A combination of light-weight and optical clarity
